Tangled hair is a common problem with most women with long hair. It is a harder problem for women with curly or frizzy hair. And it is a hell of a problem for women with black hair. African hair is quite fine in texture and it is naturally prone to frizz so tangles appear. And who loves to deal with tangles? No one… Okay, maybe some pain lovers, but that is not the people we are concerned about. But enough jokes.
Let’s get to the root of this pain. Cause tangles can actually cause pain to your roots. The word play is intentional. While trying to get rid of their tangles, most women will just tug and tug till the hair’s root is wakened or the hair actually brakes off. This causes tension in the hair follicle, damaged hair, hair loss, split ends, you name it. The cure that most women find is hair products which promise to help you untangle your hair. But if you look at these products carefully, you will see the numerous chemicals they contain. Also, the after-feel is that of messy hair. These products leave a lot of residue on the hair and your hair will flatten out or just stop breathing till the next wash. Also, most of these products contain oils that are not necessarily the best, oils that will only make your hair greasy. We have some solutions that we recommend for tangled hair and we believe that these are much better than just a quick fix with a hair product that promises you to get rid of the tangles fast. First of all, make sure your hair is not dry. Dry hair tangles fast. When you wash your hair, moisturize it properly and use a hair mask for proper hydration. Also, if you use lots of hair products like hair spray and hair gel, this will cause your hair serious tangles. If you stop using hair products, the natural oils in your hair will make the combing process a lot easier. Finally, if your hair really demands a product to be used while brushing it, try a leave in conditioner instead of a hair detangler. If you want to add a little bit of oil to it and a nice new smell, try some essential oils like lavender oil. Leave heavier oils like olive oil for hair treatments that your rinse out. All in all, a hair detangler is just a temporary solution. What you want to do is see why your hair gets all tied up in knots and solve that before you tug on your hair and fill it up with chemicals.
